Our story
The Japanese art and stories I want to share.
YourJapanStudio is my small creative studio in Okinawa, Japan. I’m Japanese, but seeing how people from other countries respond to Japan has made me curious about things I used to take for granted. Here, I research the culture, history, and everyday habits behind those reactions and share what I learn in English.
The five features explore everyday life, Japanese bakeries, animal figures, traditional patterns and textiles, and shrines and temples. I write from my own perspective, with sources you can explore for yourself, distinguishing documented facts, traditional beliefs and possible explanations.
Japanese art inspired by everyday life
The same curiosity and affection for Japan shape the products I create: cat-and-dog art, travel planners, and seasonal printables. From cherry blossoms and Mount Fuji to cozy kotatsu scenes, I pair playful illustrations with practical layouts and clear English instructions so you can bring a little Japan into your own life.
Our illustrations use AI assistance and are curated and prepared by YourJapanStudio. In addition, original layouts and English guides accompany many of our printables. The artwork is inspired by Japan; imagined scenes are decorative, rather than maps or exact locations.

A few helpful answers.
Will a physical product arrive in the mail?
No. These are digital downloads. Prints, frames, paper, cards, envelopes and other physical supplies are not included.
Can I buy from outside Japan?
The products are digital downloads sold through Etsy, so there is no parcel to ship from Japan. Check the Etsy listing and checkout for availability in your location. Our international download FAQ explains language, paper sizes and device requirements.
Can I print on A4 or US Letter paper?
Because paper sizes vary by product, check the format and print dimensions in each listing. Many products include US Letter and A4 versions, while the 10-style travel planner is A4 with US Letter printing instructions. Art files have their own recommended sizes. Start with a test print before printing the full set.
Do I need special software?
It depends on the product. For example, fillable planners need a PDF reader that supports forms; entries use English or Latin characters. The optional calendar builder works in a current desktop browser. By contrast, the Japanese workbook PDFs are for printing or annotation, rather than interactive forms. Check each listing before buying.
How do I get help with my purchase?
Open the YourJapanStudio shop on Etsy and use its Contact button. Include your order and the product name in your Etsy message so we can identify your purchase. For download instructions, visit Etsy’s digital download help.
Can I resell the files or use them commercially?
No. These downloads are for personal use, so digital files may not be resold, redistributed or publicly uploaded. Personal gifting permissions vary by product; check the terms in the listing.
